Low Cost Contact Lenses
When it comes to items such as contact lenses, you want to make sure that you’re getting quality lenses but you also do not want to pay too much. That’s the issue when you are on the search for a good pair of low cost contact lenses for yourself. So how do you do it?
First, I would suggest not taking the first offer that comes around. When I got my last pair of toric contact lenses (since I have astigmatism), my eye doctor quoted me a price and it seemed kind of high. I then called a national seller of lenses and ended up saving over $240 on the same pair (this was one’s year’s supply of 30 day lenses – so 12 pairs and they are special lenses). You definitely don’t want to get ripped off, so shop around.
Next, like I mentioned, shop these national contact lens retailers. The market is competitive, which means they will match each other’s prices. Pit them against each other and you will definitely win. It just takes making a few phone calls to save lots of money – so it’s definitely worth your time.
If you have some time before you order your next pair or want to get a jump on next year’s supply, then there are some good ways to get contact lenses for less. Look for sales and special offers. Get on the e-newsletter lists of these national retail houses. They often run specials where you can get something like an additional 20% off your order. Even if you have plenty of lenses left, it might be a good idea to stock up. Your prescription is only good for a year. I know some people that end up getting 2 years’ worth of lenses from their one prescription because they buy another set before that prescription expires. I know it’s good to see my eye doctor every year, so I would not officially suggest that to anyone but people do it.
The main thing, for the health of your eyes, is to get quality contact lenses. You do not want to get cheap contact lenses that could be made with cheap materials that could damage your eyes. Stick with name brands only.
